Shelfie Sunday – 8.23.20

August 23, 2020 in Blog - boundbythebook

Honestly, I’m not really feeling it today. I’ve got some stuff going on (still) and my plate is filling with typical responsibilities with Covid-19 precautions sprinkled on top. I woke up this morning with swollen tonsillar lymph nodes, a sore throat, and maybe an earache. I can’t really tell if it’s my ear or just my throat. Sounds stranger than it feels. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I love that our bookstagram community has been more open to #tellingitlikeitis and normalizing mental health. Behind all the pictures and filters there aren’t always lots of smiles and lack of personal issues and struggles. For someone new to opening up and being comfortable talking about my own personal strife, I rely on strong community bonds to lift me up when I’m falling. We all need a strong community and especially so in times of struggle.

I hope you all know that despite my own inner workings and difficulties, my ig is a safe place.

Sending love to everyone, especially those that are needing it more than usual. ❤️
