Mondays Suck but Books Don’t

September 21, 2020 in Blog, Favorites of 2020 - boundbythebook

🥳We survived Monday!🥳

#qotd: What was something that made you happy today? 🎈

For me, it was having a student independently put on his Crocs for the first time with only minimal prompts!

Now that September is nearing its end, I’ve realized that I’ve been in a reading funk, going from 5-6 books per month down to 2. Work is the majority of the reason and honestly I can see how it’s affecting me now that I’m nearly a month into being face-to-face at school.

The majority of the novels I’ve finished in the last few months have been pretty heavy and I picked this one up in hopes that it’ll be just what I need to get me out of this reading fatigue.

For October: I’m pinky promising myself to spend more time unplugging, relaxing, and doing what makes me happiest. No more empty cups. 👏🤞🧃
