Happy National Book Lover’s Day!

August 9, 2020 in Blog - boundbythebook

I realize I never got to properly show my book lover’s room (my “office”) and I thought today would be the perfect day to do so. I have so many books not pictured here. I’m talking bookshelves on bookshelves. The bookshelf pictured (and another larger one not pictured) is completely filled with quarantine purchases.

While I jest and post about books, the truth of it all is that books have been my most prized possession throughout my life. More so now than ever due to the pandemic and all the trauma it’s caused right before our very own eyes. Books have offered me reprieve from the constant barrage of news stories and resulting fear. This year’s National Book Lover’s Day has more meaning to me than ever before. I truly wish you a very happy Book Lover’s Day.

I hope you enjoy Book Lover’s Day however you choose to celebrate it this year.
